Work consists primarily of:• Removal and disposal of hazardous materials: lead paint, asbestos-
containing materials, PCB and Mercury-containing fixtures.• Seal surfaces by 3-layer application of Global Encasement Inc.’s
“LeadLock” or equivalent. • Spot abatement of lead-containing paints prior to torch cutting (as
needed) for removal of pipe-rack, metal hopper, etc.

Hazardous materials removal from Building 49 includes:• Remove lead- and asbestos-containing materials as identified
in specifcations, including dust on floors and interior horizontal surfaces.
• Remove & replace corrugated metal roof w. ACM mastic.• Characterize & dispose of debris pile.
• Award of Contract July 2018
• NTP, Construction Start September 2018
• Construction Term 90 Consecutive Calendar Days
• Substantial Completion December 2018
• Final Completion February 2019

Construction & Demolition (C&D) Debris Management Requirements
• See Section 01 74 50 for details
• Minimum Diversion Rate of 75% Required
• Source‐separated C&D debris material must be taken to a facility that reuses
and/or recycles that material
• MIXED C&D debris material must be taken to a REGISTERED FACILITY by a
REGISTERED TRANSPORTER
• Diversion Reporting – Use Form C for initial, monthly, and final reports
• Weight Tags are required for monthly reporting
• Contractor MUST include materials from ALL Subcontractors in reports
• City Representative is responsible for reviewing, signing, and approving all
reports submitted by the Contractor.
