ind The PlaySense® Peace of Mind
Looking for a great playground at a great price? PlaySense has it all. Including bright new colors that give it a fresh look.
Priced perfectly.
Pre-confi gured PlaySense designs offer the same high-quality, durable play components and premier features you expect from Landscape Structures. PlaySense costs about 30% less than our fully confi gurable playsystems — making it our best value available.
Strong and durable.
A lower price doesn’t mean we’ve lowered our standards. Quite the opposite, actually. Here are a few facts about PlaySense construction:
Decks
• Our strong, durable decks hold over 2 tons. That’s a lot of kids. Or one giant elephant — if you have one.
• Deck holes are 5⁄16" in diameter to provide more surface steel than decks with larger holes — supporting everyone every step of the way.
• Posts are attached outside the deck, not through, to ensure the greatest play space possible.
Posts
• L-posts can hold over 10 times their required load for a single deck as specifi ed by ASTM F1487 safety standard.
• Aluminum posts do not rust — so there’s more time spent playing, not repairing.
Finish
• ProShield™, our specially formulated primer and architectural-grade powdercoat, is applied to ensure UV protection, long-lasting color, glossy fi nish, less corrosion, fewer chips and less maintenance.
• We drill, punch and weld before we prime and paint to best protect the metal.
Hardware
• Hardware is individually packaged and labeled per component. Perfect for fast and effi cient community-build projects.
• Tamper-proof, stainless steel hardware with a thread-locking patch keeps all PlaySense components safe and secure.
Three post styles found on PlaySense structures.
PlaySense decks are 2 tons strong.

What makes us different makes us better
TenderTuff™ coating protects small hands, feet and knees for healthier, safer kids We protect against the temperature extremes of bare metal with our proprietary TenderTuff surface coating. Our exclusive TenderTuff coating acts as a temperature moderator, insulating little hands from heat and cold, and providing a softer, grippier surface. Even better, we utilize new production techniques that save water and energy during the application of this great coating!
ProShield™ fi nish is a smart combination of beauty and brawn New ProShield fi nish is so tough, it substantially increases the durability of our products. We’ve combined a specially formulated primer with a high-quality, architectural-grade powdercoat topcoat. The result is enhanced longevity, greater protection against harsh UV rays, prevention from corrosion and improved product performance. You’ll fi rst notice the vibrant, long-lasting color and glossier fi nish. You’ll appreciate the fact that something so attractive also reduces corrosion and chipping, requiring less maintenance. It’s available in all the great colors you’ve come to love. And we reclaim our epoxy primer within the process, eliminating waste powder. Tested tough for over 4,000 hours in a high-concentration salt/fog chamber and over 3,000 hours in a UV chamber, ProShield is more durable and UV stable than standard powdercoat paints.
Global ReLeaf® helps us offset carbon emissions, one playground at a time Landscape Structures is an exclusive partner of Global ReLeaf, a program of American Forests. For every playground we manufacture and sell, trees are planted through Global ReLeaf to offset the carbon dioxide produced while manufacturing that specifi c playground. In 2009, we planted approximately 20,000 trees. A sign is available to let the community know that its playground is directly benefi ting forests elsewhere on the planet — forests that fi lter water, remove air pollution, sequester carbon, and provide homes and nourishment for wildlife. Every tree improves the environment. And now, so does every playground.
Sustainable by Design:
Hardware packs for less waste, faster installation All our bolts, fl ange nuts and screws are vandal resistant to keep your playground safe from unwanted tampering. While other manufacturers ship a box of mixed bolts, we package each set of hardware individually, per component. Equipment assembly diagrams are included to make installation easier and error free, and help make community-build projects faster and more effi cient.
“Recyclable”: Steel and aluminum can be recycled at local metal recycling facilities. High-density polyethylene materials can be recycled at commercial plastic recycling facilities. Depending on the proximity of recycling facilities to your location, these products may not be recyclable in your area.
Total recycled • content: 81%
Post-consumer • content: 24%
Swivel point connectors are better by every measure Our Disc Challenge bridge may seem similar to fl exible bridges offered by other manufacturers, but only we use specially engineered swivel point connectors to attach our bridges to the overhead beams. These self-lubricating “universal joints” are stronger, safer and more fl exible than lesser-quality clevis pins or S-hooks. Designed to withstand wear and tear, they reduce maintenance time and expense, and allow you to keep the playground fun available year-round.
Total recycled • content: 45%
Post-consumer • content: 28%
Recyclable•
Sliding footers for safe and healthy kids Sliding footers help ensure slides don’t pull away from decks, warp or crack due to normal expansion and contraction. The result: They help eliminate gaps that can potentially entangle children’s clothing. Bolting slides directly to the ground may be less expensive, but it’s not as safe or long lasting. We are the only playground equipment manufacturer to use sliding footers at the bottom of our slides.
