Clues that a Chemical Change has taken place:•Formation of a gas•Formation of a precipitate (solid)• Temperature change (energy)• A change in color
Write the type of matter for each:• Sweat from a football player’s armpit
(answer: homogenous mixture – salt and water mixes evenly)
• Hydrogen peroxide that you put on oozing cuts (ans: compound)
• Vanadium (it’s on the periodic table) (ans: element – if its on the periodic table…)
• Vomit with chunks of your dinner in it (ans: heterogeneous – not an even mix)
