XS2A: secure access and efficient connectivity Europe’s forthcoming PSD2 (revised Payment Services Directive) will include an Access-to-Accounts rule that will require European banks to facilitate third-party access to any bank account in the SEPA area –enabling payments and providing account information to third-party apps – if the account holder wishes. equensWorldline is able to help its clients by offering white-label Payment Initiation or Account Information services and validation services to support the newly requested workflows for XS2A, such as authentication, authorization and signing services. In addition, we are helping to set up the Controlled Access to Payment Services (CAPS) framework to provide banks with an efficient way to connect with third-party providers. We will offer reach towards banks and third parties through this integration layer with standard APIs, easing the integration process for all parties.
