WebEnabling–

Webenablingyourpatientcanbedoneinmultipleways.First,theusercanwebenablefromtheappointmentbyaddingthepatient’semailaddressandcheckingthe“w”totheright.

Second,iftheuserdoesnotwebenablethepatientbeforemarkingthevisitas“ARR–arrived”,apromptwillappeartowebenablethepatient.Insidethiswindowtheusercanentertheemailandclick“Submit”orchoosefromalistofreasonstonotenable.

Approximately5-10minutesafterbeingwebenabled,thepatientwillreceiveaawelcomeemailsimilartotheone

below.ThisemailwillprovidethepatientwiththewebaddressandlogininformationtothePatientPortal.

Resettingthepatient’spassword-

Ifapatient’spasswordneedstobereset,theofficestaffcanresetitforthem.Todothis,openthepatient’sInfoscreenandthenchoose“Options”atthebottom.Fromthelistprovided,select“WebEnable”.

Inthewindowthatappears,theusercanselect“ResetPassword’.eCWwillresetthepasswordandprovidetheuserwiththeoptiontoprinttheinformationforthepatient.eCWwillautomaticallysendthepatienttheirnewpasswordviaemail.Thepatientcanusetheirnewpassword5-10minuteslater.

DisablingaPatientPortalAccount–

Insomecasesitmaybenecessarytodisableapatient’sPatientPortalaccount,suchasifastaffmemberaccidentallyentersthewrongemailaddress.Todisabletheaccount,openthePatientInfoScreen,click“Options”and“WebEnable”.Inthewindowthatappears,choose“Disablepatient’sportalaccount”.

SendingandReceivingMessages–

Patientshavetheabilitytosendtwotypesofmessages-demographicsupdatesandgeneralmessages.Bothmessageswillappearinthe“T”jellybeanforthedefaultuserforthepractice.

Demographicupdatemessageswillhavethereasonof“UpdateDemographics”eachtime.Userwillselectthe“Import”buttoninthemessagetoviewthechanges.

Anytextthatappearsingreenisanupdatefromthepatient,andtheusercan“Accept”thechangestoupdatethechart.

Toreplytothepatientortosendnewmessages,theusercanselectthe“ReplytoPatient”buttonatthebottomofthewebmessage.

TheeMsgwindowwillappear.Usercantypethemessageand“Send”.Thepatientwillbenotifiedviaemailthatanewmessageawaits.Usethe“SaveAs”and“Load”buttonstocreateeMessagetemplatesthatcanbereused.

ThepatientwillreceiveanemailnotificationpromptingthemtologintothePatientPortaltoviewthenewmessage.
