Marriage Moments
"When one finds a worthy wife [husband] their value is far
beyond pearls [money]." (Proverbs 31:10) Although this scrip-
ture traditionally refers to wives, it works equally well for husbands.
Pause for a moment and ponder the worth of your beloved.
Parenting Pointers Once Thanksgiving is over, let the shopping begin! Or must
it? The Friday after Thanksgiving is often called Black Fri-
day - the day stores start to make a profit. Buying gifts isn't inherent-
ly bad, but giving an experience is often more memorable. Why not
stay home and play a game.

November 19, 2017 We are reminded this week of the responsibility we have
to utilize the gifts we are given. Each one of us has been
blessed with gifts from the Lord. Are you utilizing these gifts to their
full potential? We are reminded that when we embrace these gifts,
and utilize them, they will flourish. How are you utilizing your gifts
for God’s glory? Take a moment to reflect on the skills and talents
you have? How can these gifts be utilized for the Church? Do you
have a beautiful voice, consider joining the choir? Skilled at teach-
ing, catechists are always needed to teach religious education. Do
not let your gifts and talents be wasted, embrace them and utilize
them for the glory of God.
Save Energy with Catholic Charities Catholic Charities has a new program available for individuals who
may be struggling with energy costs. As the Energize Delaware
Community Energy Center in New Castle County, Catholic Chari-
ties can provide households with free energy education, budget
counseling, and program referrals. At your appointment, your energy
counselor will review your utility bills and discuss ways to reduce
your energy usage. They’ll also determine what assistance programs
are available to help you keep the power on and get back on track.
To schedule an appointment, contact Catholic Charities Main Office
at 302-655-9624, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
