*Call to Worship
Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth. Sing glory to God and praise the
Lord!
Come and see what God has done; how awesome the deeds
among mortals.
Bless the Lord, O peoples; let the sound of God’s praise be heard.
Truly God has listened; he has given heed to the words of my
prayer.
Let us worship God!
*Hymn #381 “Come, Ye Thankful People, Come”
Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession
Forgiving God, once more we seek your pardon. We find
ourselves in exile from the best we know. We have focused so
much of our attention on our own concerns that we have
neglected the welfare of the community. We see our own
hardships more readily than we feel the vast suffering around
us. We forget the mercy we have received. We are angry when
we should be grateful. Restore us to covenant faithfulness, we
pray. Amen.
Time of Personal Confession
Assurance of Pardon
Scripture 2 Timothy 2:8 – 15 (NRSV p. 967; LP p. 1864 – 1865)

*Hymn #60 “Great is Thy Faithfulness”
Sermon “The Importance of Endurance”
Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Call to Offering
Offertory “More About Jesus” Todd Kendall

*Doxology
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
*Prayer of Dedication
We bring the first fruits of our labors, the best of all we have, a
portion of the bounty you entrust to us. Accept our gifts,
gracious God, as a symbol of our renewed commitment. We give
thanks for the wholeness you offer us amid a fragmented world.
We are grateful for meaningful tasks in the midst of chaos and
meaningless suffering. We dedicate ourselves and our offering
to your faithful service. Amen.
*Hymn #375 “Sing to the Lord of Harvest”
Benediction
Postlude “Mercy” Louis Gottschalk
*All who are able, please stand.

Mission Trip to Puerto Rico
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who
helped make my mission trip to Puerto Rico possible. We did some very good
work and helped several people who are still recovering from the effects of
Hurricanes Irma and Maria more than 18 months after they hit the island.
It was my honor and privilege to represent not only the Pennsylvania Southeast
Conference, but Palm Schwenkfelder Church as we repaired buildings and
structures damaged by the storms, and helped people reclaim their lives and
communities and recover their identities. Some time in the near future I will
share my experiences on this mission trip with the congregation. Stay tuned for
an announcement about my presentation. And thank you again!! Dan Ferry

Did You Know…?
This is where we list items of interest to members and visitors. If you have any
items to add, please call or email Dan Ferry in the church office. Thank you.
Did You Know…?
CCTV – We broadcast the Sunday worship service on closed circuit
televisions in both the Nursery and the Adult Sunday School Room.
LARGE PRINT bulletins are available from an usher. LARGE PRINT
Bibles are also available for use during worship services, located on the
table to the left between the front and back sections of pews.
Listening devices are available for those who would like them. Please see
an usher to assist you.
A fully accessible restroom is located in the hallway, across from the
office. A baby changing table is there, also.
There are two yellow and green bins at the back of the parking lot for
recycling your office paper and newspaper. The church benefits from
these collections, along with helping the environment.
There are greeting cards on the podium as you enter the sanctuary.
Anyone is invited to sign – you don’t need to be a member of the
congregation to add your name to the well wishes. Donations of greeting
cards to this project are welcomed and needed, especially Get Well and
Sympathy cards. Please see Nancy Hoffman with your donations, or
place them on the podium shelf.
The Ladies’ Aid Society collects “Save-A-Tape” from Redner’s Market and
receives a rebate based on how much is spent. You need to get a “Save-A-
Tape Card” from Redner’s to participate in the program. There is a
wooden box in the Narthex for this purpose – please put your receipts in
the slot. Thanks!
In case of an emergency, there is an AED (Automated External
Defibrillator) located in the rear of the sanctuary, in the alcove where the
mailboxes are and where the sound system is kept.
