Readers Anonymous will dis-cuss David Laskin’s “TheChildren’s Blizzard” on Nov. 9.This club, which is always opento new members, meets the sec-ond Tuesday of each month, atthe library, at 1 p.m.

The evening book club meetsthe third Tuesday of eachmonth, 5:30 p.m., at the library.On Nov. 16, they will discussCharles Frazier’s “ColdMountain.”

Generous patrons donated191 cans of soup and 44 pack-ages of crackers during our Foodfor Fines week. We will collect

canned vegetables Nov. 13-21,with all donations going to theContact Center.

Friends of the Library willhold their monthly book sale at10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 6. As always,they continue to accept dona-tions of gently used books tostock their shelves. The Friends’sale is the first Saturday of eachmonth.

The library will be closed onVeteran’s Day, Nov. 11, and onNov. 25-26, due to theThanksgiving holiday. We will beopen from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. onNov. 27 and 1-5 p.m. on Nov. 28.
