REALLY Learning From The JACoW Team
Okay, so maybe we’ll neglect to mention those findings in our reports..
This JACoW team meeting was very valuable for us and for PAC11• There is a strong PAC11 interest in using SPMS for all conference org• Much better understanding of JACoW/SPMS/JPSP benefits, organization• Much better understanding of editorial room personnel/equipment costs• Insider knowledge of dynamics of SPC/Editorial relationship• “Lessons learned” from other conferences, continual improvement• Tremendous benefits from joining the small, tight JACoW community
- We should be able to contribute to as well as benefit from JACoW
Our next steps• Sort/organize/answer several pages of questions/observations• There is nothing like getting our fingers onto a real SPMS instance• Document our process from the start so we can all learn from it
