Here we find ourselves at the end of a very busy but successful school year. As with most schools and communities in the Northern Territory there are lots of goodbyes at this time of year for staff and students. Of course this includes our Year 6 students moving on to Middle School but also a number of families leaving for interstate. Sadly we are also saying goodbye to some fabulous teachers.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dignity and Determination
Amy Grego our Year 5/6 teacher is leaving the
Territory to continue travelling and spend time with
family.
Her message: “The past 2 years at Durack have
been a wonderful experience for me; my first time
teaching Year 5/6s and working in the Palmerston
region. I’ve enjoyed many exciting adventures with
the students including adventure camps, excursions
to the big smoke and more. I’ve had the privilege of
working with many experienced and very supportive
teachers and support staff and have enjoyed learn-
ing new things from each of them. My husband,
Chris and I are looking forward to our adventures on
the open road next year and we’ll be sure to stay in
John Heath our Year 3/4 teacher is leaving Australia and returning to family in the UK.
His message: “It has been a pleasure to be part of the Durack School community since April 2016. I will take with me many fond memories from teaching my Year 4 and Year 3/4 classes. The support from other staff at the school and parents has been very much appreciated.
