Hay que ser Seguidor y Líder a la vez
Las tres lecturas señalan el liderazgo que debemos
tener todos los cristianos, dada la identidad que nos
otorga el Bautismo y que nos reta a ejercer el mismo
tipo de liderazgo de Jesús: profeta, sacerdote y
rey-líder-servidor.
Un buen líder sabe llevar a otros hacia una meta,
convirtiéndola en “meta común”, a través del
convencimiento con razones poderosas, motivaciones
fuertes y organización eficaz.
Jesús fue “seguidor’ y “líder” a la vez. Al ser fiel al
amor de su Padre por la humanidad, siguió la misión
que le encomendó, y al formar su comunidad de
discípulos, convirtió la llegada del reino de Dios en la
meta de todos ellos.
No necesitamos ser líderes innatos para tener el
Espíritu Santo en nosotros, y con su luz para conocer,
su amor que une y su energía que nos mueve a la
acción, llevar a otras personas a Cristo. Todos los
padres y madres de familia necesitan transmitir la fe a
sus hijos, y estos a las siguientes generaciones. No hay
escapatoria: hay que ser seguidor y líder a la vez.

CATHOLIC CENTER DIRECTOR POSITION OPEN
The Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau seeks qualified applicants for the exempt full-time position of Director of Development and Properties. Applicant must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church. Qualified individuals need a demonstrated understanding of the theology of stewardship and experience in the administration of major capital campaigns as this position includes responsibility for the annual diocesan fund raising appeal. Additionally, the applicant should have experience in a field related to property management or construction as well as experience with the legal duties related to property acquisition. Administrative and management experience is required. A college degree is preferred and the ability to work collaboratively is critical. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, computer literacy and be willing to travel throughout the diocese. Overnight stays are often necessary. Compensation includes competitive salary, excellent health benefits and retirement plan based on diocesan guidelines.
