USS Cyclopes– The USS Cyclops
left Barbados on March 4, 1918 with 309 crew and passengers on its route to Baltimore, Maryland.
Carroll A. Deering– The Carroll A.
Deering on January 31st, was found abandoned near Cape Hatters, North Carolina.
1925
SS CotopaxiAfter departing Charleston, South
Carolina, the SS Cotopaxi radioed a distress call reporting their ship was sinking.
1941-1945
USS Proteus• After departing the
Virgin Islands, the USS Proteus sank with a cargo of bauxite and 58 people on board on November 23rd.
Flight-19• On December 5th, all
14 airmen in Flight -19 disappeared. The search crew disappeared the same day while looking for them.
1948
Avro Tudor G-AHNP Star Tiger• The Star Tiger was lost
with 31 people on board January 30th.
Douglas DC-3 NC16002• On December 28th, 39
people disappeared while flying to Miami.
1949-1963
Avro Tudor G-AGRE Star Ariel• On January 17th, 20
people were lost at sea while flying to Jamaica.
SS Marine Sulphur Queen• The Sulphur Queen
sank around the beginning of February due to harsh dangerous weather.
