One of our most endearing traditions, the winter cruise, keeps getting better and better. Come with us in February as we escape from the cold winds of winter with a warm water cruise to many of the southern and western Caribbean’s most fascinating islands on the beautiful ms Koningsdam, breathtaking in every detail and carrying over 2,600 guests in comfort and elegance. After a short flight to Florida, you embark on the gracious Nieuw Statendam, get settled into your spacious stateroom and then sit back and relax as you are taken to a host of unique islands and ports, each different from the last, never having to pack a bag until you are ready to head for home. We have arranged our Caribbean cruises this year so that you can take either departure or you can combine them into one glorious Holland America Caribbean Odyssey offering even greater savings. Do call us today to reserve your places on one or both of these departures.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US: Newly redesigned Fort Lauderdale Beach and cafes allow a nice stroll along the historic Riverwalk. You could also simply enjoy the luxurious stores on Las Olas Boulevard or even venture to the Everglades for an intriguing air boat excursion.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas: Holland America Line's pristine private island offers everything you need for a day of play in paradise: a two-mile crescent of perfect beach; an interior lagoon; beachside cabanas with butler service, showers and misters; and all manner of water activities.
Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos: Named for the fez-like scarlet blossoms of the cactus that grows here, Grand Turk is a pristine place of simple pleasures. You might be interested in floating dreamily over vibrant coral reefs and dine on conch fritters.
Amber Cove, Dominican Republic: Amber Cove is your gateway for adventure on the Dominican Republic’s north coast. Shop for authentically sourced crafts in the marketplace, dine on delicious local cuisine or head out to discover Damajaqua Cascades, also called 27 Waterfalls.
Kralendijk, Bonaire: The priority here is preservation. Pristine and unspoiled reefs such as Lac Bay, one of the top dive spots in the world. Take in the blush of thousands of pink flamingos at the sanctuary at Pekelmeer.
Oranjestad, Aruba: You can explore the colourful floating markets, head to the beach or even venture into the countryside to see the green parakeet, the unique gardens of Casibari and the curious divi-divi tree.
Willemstad, Curacao: The vistas of this charming port city embrace you from three sides: gabled storybook houses; a harbour that cuts through the city like an Amsterdam canal; and beautifully restored Dutch colonial buildings brimming with duty-free treasures.
Philipsburg, Saint Maarten: Philipsburg is the capital of the Dutch section of this wonderful island called Sint Maarten. It lies on a gentle arc of land with a river water lake to the north and a bay to the south. Castries, Saint Lucia: You can enjoy the bustling market of Castries, volcanic Sulphur Springs, the towering Pitons and, of course, the lush vegetation. Those with a desire to step back through time may want to go for a hike in Pigeon Island National Park. Bridgetown, Barbados: Barbados is what England might look like if it had taken a tropical vacation years ago and decided to stay put. Cricket is the national sport, afternoon tea is a given, and motorists hug left. See the British influence in the historic old section of town which has been singled out as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Fort-de-France, Martinique: This city is an exotic blend of French and Creole cultures. You can buy a Madras headdress or a Parisian silk scarf here. If you feel hungry you can either enjoy French specialties such as croissant or more exotic flavours as in a coconut pastry.
Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: St. Kitts and Nevis are a pair of islands that form a single Eastern Caribbean nation. Ripe with historical sites, the larger St. Kitts passed hands among the Spanish, French and English, with the latter establishing the strongest foothold. The architecture and layout of its capital city, Basseterre, are all typically British. And the island's sprawling, colonial-era plantations are a reminder of the tumultuous history of the tobacco, rum, sugar and slave trades that were here for generations. St. Kitts offers golden-sand beaches for relaxing, a lush jungle interior that welcomes heart-pumping adventure, laid-back bars with fantastic sunset views and restaurants serving up über-local fare.
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands: The lovely, European-influenced port of Charlotte Amalie wins the prize for Caribbean shopping thrills. You might want to enjoy endless succession of sandy crescents and protected coves or take the aerial tram up to Paradise Point.
