Life is wild, God is Good!
ALDERSHOT “WORKING TOGETHER FOR STUDENTS”
Dear Families at home,
It is hard to believe that 2018-2019 is quickly coming to an end. I would like to thank the school community for their sup-port and appreciate all you have done to support the students, staff and the events that have taken place over the year. Al-dershot is a busy but productive place to be. On a regular basis you would see stu-dents, staff and volunteers participating in the many activities that take place here. High-light this Friday will be Spring Fling and we hope to see lots of families here to celebrate a great year!
It has been a pleasure to be a part of this team. There is a strong sense of commit-ment and support for student learning and success. The students, staff and par-ents work hard to provide a learning envi-ronment that is respectful, safe and car-ing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Home & School for all their hard work to provide opportunities for both the students and staff they might not otherwise have if it were not for their sup-
port. To the staff, thank you for all you do to support our students and community. You are a great group of professionals and it is has been a pleasure to work with you. To our students. I am proud of them and appreciate the great citizens they have proven themselves to be.
Please keep in mind that although the school year is coming to a close June is perhaps one of our busiest months.
Please note these dates in this month’s newsletter and keep an eye out for notices pertaining to class trips.
There are plans for : Grade 3 swimming, Class trips, Spring Fling, Field Day and Dance Festival. We are working hard to provide a rounded and en-riched educational experience for your child(ren). It’s a time of im-portant back and forth paperwork for permission so we ask for some additional diligence in processing those backpacks and communica-tion bags. Thank you.

CLASS TRIPS
Please note that class trips will be starting soon. If you have not sent in your child’s permission forms, trip fees, please do so as soon as possi-
ble. All buses have been ordered and our children are excited to spend time learning and exploring.
LOST AND FOUND
If your child is missing clothing such as: Jackets, pants, hats, mittens, sneakers, books or even a toy we have an overflowing Lost and Found. Please take the time to have a look as you may find special items waiting to be claimed. All clothes will be bagged and donated at the end of the
year.
Registration forms are available in the
school office.
Safe arrival at school has been a priority this fall and we continue to make progress. We appreciate that the majority
of drop offs are now excellent! To aid us with our Safe Arrival we need all drivers to adhere to the following:
Please be patient and wait until your vehicle can drive forward in the line and become Vehicle #1 or
Vehicle #2. Please do NOT let children out of the car until you are in this place in the line up. Safe passage across the parking lot and cross walks can not be certain. This requires your patience & coop-
eration.
Let children out on the LEFT side of the vehicle directly to the safety of the sidewalk.
Please stay in your vehicle. This means backpacks are ready to go and hugs and kisses have already hap-
pened at home.
If you must get out of your car to assist your children then find a place to park so you have time and don’t hold
the line up from moving efficiently and effectively forward.
You are the most important part of your child’s safe arrival at school. Please be cooperative and respectful to
school staff who are there to assist and guide you.

terested adult volun-teers to support us. Please contact the office if you can assist.
Lunch Program
Parents/guardians can send in money on a daily basis or can purchase $10.00 and $20.00 meal cards. If par-ents/guardians choose to purchase meal cards, the student will be able to order from the daily menus until the amount on the meal card has been spent. Please use the ordering notes that are sent home letting the teacher know what your child will be ordering each day – whether they are using cash that day to order or using credit from
your meal card purchase.
Due to cost of food in-creases and nutrition guidelines we have adjust-ed our pricing to make “the healthy choice the least expensive /easy choice.”
We are exploring adding a Salad Bar to our daily menu and are seeking in-
