UNITED DIOCESES OF DUBLIN & GLENDALOUGH
DIOCESAN CYCLE OF PRAYER 2011-2012
Foreword to 2012 Diocesan Cycle of Prayer
A cycle of prayer is an important way for all of us to feel included in the spiritual life of the diocese. The realization that as we are praying for others, so others are praying for us, is a source of strength and comfort, as well as Godly challenge.
On behalf of all of us, I thank Canon Mark Gardner for his meticulous work in the preparation of this Cycle of Prayer each year. This underpins and expresses our diocesan commitment to be a family of churches which belongs together and in which we pray for one another.
Enriched by prayer for one another in the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we are always in need of looking outwards as well as inwards. My own prayer would be that we uphold before God those whom we do not see every bit as much as those whom we see Sunday by Sunday in our own parish churches.
