THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
It sure was fun Wednesday night laughing to the comedyof Tony Wolf. He had a good mix of humor, music andserious thought for all who were able to attend. I want toalso say thanks to those who chose to sponsor a child onWednesday night. Five children were given hope. I hopeothers will consider sponsoring a child through
Compassion as there are countless children who need asponsor.
Dont forget that on October 26th, we will offer a specialfundraiser for Life 180. From 6-11 A.M. we will have anall-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Please think aboutwho you can invite to this special time of fellowship.
For those who attend our How to Have a New Kid byFriday group, dont forget to read the introduction andchapter 1 of your book for our Oct. 30 thclass. Its not too
late to join this group so if you are interested, be sure topick up a copy of the book from Brad today.
I came across a statistic this week that I want to sharewith you. Paul Tans in his book, Signs of the Timesstates that 95% of the people in America become aChristian before the age of twenty-five. That tells me thatas a church wed better get busy seeking to reach thisgeneration.
For this cause, we will continue our efforts to reachpeople who have no relationship with Jesus. We arewilling to try anything to reach others. As a church, if wewant to see more people attend, more baptismsexperienced, more disciples made, then it will require allof us at Fifth Avenue to be involved in kingdom work andservice. Will you commit to that? Will you pray for that?
Getting back to the above statistic that 95% accept Christby the age of 25. When we look at our outreach methods, events, and programs in our church, how much of whatwe do is designed for those above the age of 25? If mostof what we offer is focused on those above the age of 25,then that means we are going after only five percent ofthe people in our community. What about the 95%? Willwe not seek to reach them or will be content to just do ourown thing and let someone else worry about fulfilling theGreat Commission. Please pray that God might lay aburden on your heart to participate in kingdom building.
In His Service,
Brad

How Can I Respond Today?
At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all
issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear
concerning what a person must do to become a
Christian.
Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord
of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the
forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy
Spirit into your life.
To make this li fe decision for Chri st, we ask that you
come forward during our commitment songat the
conclusion of the Sunday message. Bapti zed beli evers
are welcome to become membersat FACC by coming
forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior
Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you
complete a series of Curious classesto help you
better understand what you are committing to as amember.
