1ES 1959+650
Observed during 6 hr in Sept-Oct 2004.
Low X-ray and optical activity.
Albert et al., ApJ 639 (2006) 761
Consistent with HEGRA spectrum in similar activity state
ISCRA, Erice 20-27 June 2006 M. Errando for the MAGIC collaboration
1ES 1959+650 Hadronic models are
favored for this source: “Orphan” flare observed
by Whipple. Hint of neutrino signal
during flaring period reported by AMANDA.
Albert et al., ApJ 639 (2006) 761

1ES 1218+30.4
First source discovery of MAGIC.
z = 0.182, one of the furthest objects detected at VHE.
Observed during 8.2 hr at low Zd.
No time variability.

PG 1553+113
Flux level decreases by a factor of 2 between 2005 and 2006.
No correlation between different energy bands.
Redshift unknown.
Observed during 2005 and 2006.
Evidence of VHE γ-ray emission reported by H.E.S.S. collaboration (Aharonian et al. 2006).
Detected by MAGIC both in 2005 and 2006 with more than 6σ significance.

MAGIC II
Clone of MAGIC with some improvements: PMT camera with cluster
design, with possibility to update to HPDs.
Ultra-fast 2.5 GHz readout.
Structure has already been built in La Palma.
Start commissioning phase in summer 2007.
ISCRA, Erice 20-27 June 2006 M. Errando for the MAGIC collaboration
Conclusions MAGIC telescope completed its first
physics campaign.
The discovery of a new source has been reported, some more are on the publication queue.
Established VHE γ-ray emitters have been studied in detail.
MAGIC II is currently under construction and will be operative in 2007.
