International Competition 2015
NZIHA have elected to enter teams in the following competitions in 2015:
Oceania - Gold Coast, Australia, April 2015 (tbc) FIRS - Argentina, June 2015
The Board of NZIHA voted against participation at IIHF in Finland earlier this year. The criteria for decision making changed when we were in France at FIRS. On return the Board sought to host a qualifier but IIHF had already allo-
cated the competition and a decision not to qualify in Fin-land 2015 has been taken, it is therefore no longer an op-tion. Check out the survey for 21U eligible players
Teams:
FIRS: Senior Men, Senior Women, 18U Junior Men, 18U Junior Women
Oceania: 12U, 14U, 16U, 14U Junior Women, Masters & Veterans.
U21 competition yet to be determined, either Australia or USA - players will be informed once survey of all eligible completed.

Grow the Game ..
NZIHA certainly hopes with the subtle changes that are
occurring within the sport that Clubs support the volun-teer efforts of the Board and make strong plans for
'growth’ in 2015.
As a TEAM working together we can make a differ-
ence. In that regard it is essential that Clubs record Com-petitive, School and Recreational participation, as this is
the information that NZIHA needs to supply to Skate NZ for Sport NZ. It's a numbers game at this level.
Universal Open
Day for Inline Hockey 14/15
February 2015
As part of aligning
our actions Krys & Tim are seek-ing clubs to support a “national”
Open Day for all Clubs at the start of 2015 so we can co-
ordinate publicity of the
sport. Any new ideas in the area of growth are welcomed by the
board please do not hesitate to communicate with us.
Dave Hammond New Zealand inline community currently have the pleas-ure of hosting Dave Hammond. He is assisting our sport
with the Coach and Player Development Initiative being a
key strategic focus in order to ‘Build the Game’. The feedback from Clubs and the Coaching Committee has
been exceptionally positive and they are welcoming this assistance. His work with the Coaching Committee is
looking at continued club coach development for 2015.
As part of this initiative Dave has delivered a grassroots
development programme for Clubs. This is a product from Skate Australia and NZIHA are grateful to both
Gordon Young and Skate Australia for allowing us to use their product. Hard copies of the progamme will be
delivered to Clubs at Inter-Regionals.
