In case if Drilling Qualification Block is made from a different
heat or heat treated in a different batch, the sampling location
shall be in line with the sampling location requirement of
Tubesheet forging (80 mm x 80 mm)

tubesheet is required to be done independently in all cases.
However, specimen location shall be in line with location of test

hence, the preparation of handling procedure for handling of SG

approval of NPCIL before fabrication.

Arbitration
In event of any dispute arising between the parties, the dispute
shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration
& Conciliation Act, 1996. The venue of arbitration shall be
Mumbai. The arbitral proceeding shall be conducted in English
language. The arbitral award shall be final and binding upon the
parties. NPCIL to confirm.

Contractors Documents
The rights in the documents prepared by the Contractor belong
to Purchaser at all times. Also note that license has to be given to
Purchaser by the Contractor for non-terminable, transferable and
non-exclusive, royalty free license which can be transferred by
NPCIL to any person whosoever uses the Stores manufactured
and given by the Contractor. Business team to kindly take note of
this and modify as per the commercial terms agreed as L&T does
not transfer license without any royalty fee and also which can be
transferred to any person which is not defined in this clause.
Generally the IPR in the documents prepared belong to the
Owner of the documents. NPCIL to confirm

CLND Act, 2010…….
Shall be amended as follows:
“NPCIL shall maintain the operator’s statutory insurance under
the CLND Act, 2010 by subscribing to the Nuclear Insurance Pool,
thereby subrogating to the Indian Nuclear Insurance Pool the
operator’s “Right to Recourse” against suppliers under section
17(a) and (b) of the CLND Act, 2010.”

Additional Notes: The bidders may pl note and comply with the following : 1) In the drop wt test to be carried out at forging manufacturer's place and SG Manufacturer's place , the weld bead shall be deposited by using welding electrode " UTP DUR " and the notch shape in drop wt
specimen shall be 'V" shape. 2) For qualification of SG Forgings to be procured from new vendor/ manufacturer, the
following additional tests in addition to the tests and requirements mentioned in the Tender specifications PC-M-960 and Tender Part-C-1--Special Instruction to Tenderer, shall be carried out on prototype forging of
full scale (1:1) size before proceeding with production job : a) For shells :
STC-A , STC-B , STC-C and RTC coupons shall be taken from the ring cut out from the centre of the length of the shell and extent of testing shall be same as that for coupons taken from the bottom of the ingot of Shell
Forgings as mentioned in the tender specification no. PC-M-960 . b) For Primary Head : STC-A , STC-B , STC-C and RTC coupons shall be taken from the
centre of the Head and extent of testing shall be same as that for coupons taken from the Primary Head forging as mentioned in the tender specification no. PC-M-960.
c) For Secondary Head : STC-A , STC-B , STC-C and RTC coupons shall be taken from the centre of the Head and extent of testing shall be same as that for coupons taken from the Secondary Head (Dished End) forging
as mentioned in the tender specification no. PC-M-960.
d) For Tube Sheet : STC-A , STC-B , STC-C and RTC coupons shall be taken from the centre of the Tube Sheet and extent of testing shall be same as that for coupons taken from the Tube Sheet forging as mentioned in
the tender specification no. PC-M-960.
3) For qualification of SG U-Tubes to be procured from new vendor/ manufacturer, the following additional tests in addition to the tests and requirements mentioned in the Tender specifications PC-M-962 and Tender
Part-C-1--Special Instruction to Tenderer, shall be carried out on prototype forging of full scale (1:1) size before proceeding with production job :
a) 20 no. of tubes of different radii and length -(full scale) shall be manufactured as prototype.
b) The tubes shall be tested by ECT from inside in addition to other specified tests as per applicable specification.
c) The ECT Signature shall be smooth and comparable to good quality tubes from reputed tube manufacturer for SG viz. Valinox , Sandvik etc. Tubes shall not indicate any pilgering noise signals.
d) ECT shall not indicate any ID indications.
e) ECT shall not indicate any OD indications.
4) The thickness profile of all SG nozzles shall be increased by 5% above the thickness shown in the drawing, including the crotch region. However, if the design/analysis demands more than the increased thickness, the
Designer/Supplier is bound to provide the same.
Quality of Tubes and Forgings shall be assessed and approved by NPCIL.
