Here is a summary of the changes to the rules of golf for 2019.
As you can see these are some big changes.
The USGA and the R&A looked at speed of play and difficulty of play as they
adjusted the rules of golf. Research has shown that these are the two biggest
things keeping people from playing golf more often. The changes made should
make the game more fun with less penalties and as well faster with some rule
changes that look to lessen the overall time golf takes to play. These are major
changes and will take a little getting used to. Review them now and we will
keep everyone informed as to the implementation of these rules for 2019.

REMINDER: All club facilities will be closed for
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Happy Holidays!!
The cooler temps at night have arrived and the Bermuda grass has
stopped actively growing. To insure we keep our range tee nice for the
upcoming season we must stay off the turf and remain on the mats. We
ask that you hit all iron, hybrid and fairway wood shots from the matted
area. Tees will go into the mat but it is acceptable to tee your ball up in
front of the mats. Thank you in advance for cooperation.
2019 Tournament Eligibility All members going forward must have a registered GHIN

Hole In One Club for 2018/2019
We are continuing the Hole in One Club heading into the
start of 2019
If you already entered the HIO club during the 2018 season that
payment will carry forward to 2019
For all who have not already entered
$5.00 each
Explanation: The way this works is when a member of the club
gets a verifiable hole in one in a club event, each member of the
HIO club is then billed $5.00. This in turn will cover the expenses
for the day (if you know what I mean) for the person making a
hole in one.
If interested, please let us know in the golf shop asap.

Greetings from the Grounds:
Well it’s November and the quiet hum of mowers is all but gone. Our Greens have all but gone dormant we
will plan to paint the greens surface near the end of the month just before Thanksgiving. We will mow fairways
at least one more time and the rough at least one more time also. The crew is working on cleaning up the many
stump holes left the golf course. We were able to use a skid steer on the big mess and we are hand raking the
final result. We will begin filling the back bunker on 15 early next week. We will grade the slope to blend with
the existing bank behind 15. Dead tree work will also begin in very near future as there are several throughout
the course. A diligent effort will be given toward leaves as they continue to fall and must be blown and
mulched on a daily basis. All of our fall pre-emergent’s have been applied and we will not be feeding the
greens anymore this year. We Hope everyone had a wonderful summer and we wish everyone Happy
Thanksgiving. And as always we look forward to seeing you on the course.
