A, an, the When you see an ‘a’, ‘an’, or ‘the’…. It
tells you that a noun is coming up. We use these words, called articles, to announce a noun. Sometimes there is an adjective between the article and the noun.
Example – The dog belongs to John. Example –A dirty dog ran down the
street.
Be careful Sometimes there are adjectives that
look like nouns. You can turn almost any noun into an adjective.
Example – I am taking math during 4th block. That’s a noun.
Example – I am taking math class during 4th block. That’s an adjective.
Be careful Titles of books, movies, songs, etc. may
contain many words. All the words in the title are a part of one title.
