Who Uses Notes widgets and Live Text

• Samantha the end user has new sidebar panels, or she has new actions to take on text in Notes documents.

• Raj the application developer creates widgets by hooking Lotus Notes text with recognizers and actions

• Ida the Domino Administrator uses the catalog to deploy these widgets. She also has new desktop policies to control deployment.

• Create simple widgets, like a Google Gadget in the sidebar

• Create wired widgets, like recognizing a flight number and wiring it to an action to look up the status on the web

• Once he’s created these widgets, he:– Publishes them in the Catalog– Other users can install them from the catalog, or the widgets can

be automatically pushed down without any user intervention
