NGAUS Resolutions Process

INGOA RESOLUTIONS PROCESS
• Iowa Membership reviews Standing Resolutions prior to Annual Business Meeting
• Membership submits changes/additions/omissions to Standing Resolutions for consideration at Annual Business Meeting, using the prescribed NGAUS form and format
• Resolutions must be adopted at Annual State Conference (Emergency Resolutions will be considered ONLY if there is a programmatic change at the service level; not simply because they were late submittals)
• INGOA Resolutions Team submit adopted Resolutions to NGAUS after the Business Meeting
• Reviewed by stakeholders—NGB, NGAUS Task Forces
• All states vote on Resolution changes at the NGAUS Conference
• Resolutions published by NGAUS & become Legislative Priorities for the next year
• Worked on Capitol Hill by INGOA Legislative Team & NGAUS. Also, membership should use CAPWIZ to stay engaged on priorities.
