The Benefits of Volunteering
How does volunteering make you a happier person
The best reason to ever start volunteering should be because you want to help others and make a difference in someone elses lives But did you know that you are actually
getting something out of it too
Studies have shown that being passionate about helping others helps release pleasure neurotransmitters meaning those who enjoy giving back to others are more happy in
their own lives on average Studies have also shown a relation between volunteering and health benefits Those who commit to helping others are physically and mentally more
healthy than those who do not
Those who have committed their time to volunteering have reported feeling less stressed more healthy and seeing the world around them change for the better
Some simple ways you can help others today
bull Holding a door open for someone bull Actively listening to someone else
bull Help carry groceries to someones car for them bull Smiling and greeting them even if youve never met them
