The first reason to create a TV
Ident is because it is a cleaver
way to attract an audience to
a channel and make them
instantly recognize that
channel, so without even
thinking the human mind
engages and identifies
on what is being watched. The Ident informs the public
of what's coming up next. Stand out from competition
From what we can see the configuration is in a gas station, and during the night.
The ident motion is fast and it goes perfectly with the music and dance in the background.
It is both informative and entertaining. The narrator informs the viewer of what's coming up next and there are some interactions with the viewers.
From what we can see the configuration is in a swimming pool during the day as we can see from the light.
The ident motion is fast and it goes perfectly with the music and dance in the background.
The narrator does not need to tell what's coming next, but because of the ident it is possible to recognize.
During the years Channel 4 has many different logos, but always with the same shape. Channel 4's music is not different. It has the same shape (the number 4), but a change in the mode of forming the number 4 allows the viewer to easily recognize which channel it comes and not confuse with other channel 4.

The Idents let the public know the next program. There is no interaction with
the audience all the action happens inside the scene.
The time of the ident starts slowly and then faster, perfectly with the music and dancing in the background.
The ident shows the judges of the program with a small dance participation.
From what we can see the configuration is during the day and as you can see the light.
And at the end of ident appears the logo of the channel.
BB

NE
From what we see, it looks like the setting is underwater and because of the ligth we can see that is daytime.
The ident motion is slow and it goes perfectly with the quiet music in the background.
All have the original logo in the corner and then the ’BBC ONE' appears inside the circle.
The ident gives that
welcoming approach to the
viewers and invite them to
watch and enjoy the
programming. To me all the idents have unique
and sophisticated colors that gives
meaning and better understanding
of the channels and its programming, and because of that
it is a successful ident.
When does a ident usually
appear?
Before the program starts. Purpose of an Ident?Identify a channel.
How long an ident usually take?
15-30 seconds
