TheCoolingOptimizationPackageincorporates
GEsadvancedtechnologywhichisbasedonakeen
understandingothephysicsotheentire9FAgasturbine
coolingsystem.GEengineersromaroundtheworldocused
ontheturbinesoperationalenvironment,whichincludes
ambientconditions,loadrangesandstartsequencing,to
developthisnewpackage.Thepackageoerscustomers
improvedoutputandefciencybymoreeectivelymanaging
thetemperatureandvolumeocoolingairow,minimizing

operatingrangeatwhichemissionslevelscanbemaintained
atlowerloadlevelsbyincreasinggasturbineturndown
capability.Byreducingtheminimumturndownlevel,
operatorsareabletoreducetheamountouelconsumed
duringo-peakhoursandavoidshutdown/start-upcosts.
Thepackagealsominimizesmaintenancerequirements
associatedwithshutdownsandallowsthecustomerto
respondtoshortdemandsorelectricity.
