A NEW PUMP FROM A LEGENDARY NAMENash liquid ring pumps and compressors have been known fornearly 100 years as tireless workhorses, designed to stand up tothe rigorous, non-stop demands of the harshest industrialenvironments. Built better than they need to be, Nash pumpshave always been a promise of reliability.
Now Nash will be known for something else as well: ingenuity. In developing the Vectra liquid ring vacuum pump series, Nashemployed advanced design technologies to achieve optimumperformance and unprecedented production efficiencies. Productionefficiencies ultimately passed on to our customers in the form ofunique value and competitive prices.
The new Vectra series pumps are designed from the ground up, based on customer defined marketrequirements. The multidisciplinary design process relied on input from R&D, manufacturing, marketing and most importantly our customers, General Industrial and Chemical Process engineers. The result: arevolutionary line of vacuum pumps tough enough to be called Nash.

But durability isn‘t enough. So all Vectra vacuum pumps incorporate a simple modular concept withinterchangeable parts that result in a high level of adaptability. Our design methods also resulted intechnology advancements such as a patented new cone design and a new rotor configuration, whichprovide the best characteristics of both conical and the more compact flat sided designs. The pumpsalso can be used as compressors or as a vacuum pump discharging against a positive back pressure.
Overall, Vectra pumps are the result of painstaking engineering and the use of finite element analysis, which determined the most efficient means to achieve the highest level of performance and thegreatest possible value. A world class design.
Because requirements are different for pumps used in General Industrial and in Chemical Processingapplications, there is a Vectra pump for each: the GL, for General Industrial and the XL for ChemicalProcessing. Both are built to maximize efficiency and reliably meet the specific demands of eachmarket segment.
3-D CAD and finite element analysis enabled Nash engineersto optimize the Vectra cone design.
Whether operating as a vacuum pump orcompressor, Vectra has the ability to reachpositive differentials of up to 30 PSI.

CHEMICAL PROCESSING DUTY - VECTRA ”XL” SERIESThe Vectra XL is a pump designed to stand up to the harsh environments found in the Chemical Processingindustry. The XL is constructed of ductile iron and stainless steel. It can accommodate a variety of mechanicalseals and achieves higher differential and hydrotest pressure ratings than the GL. While the XL incorporatesseveral unique parts for the Chemical Processing industry, it has many parts in common with the GL. Thisallows maximum efficiencies and optimum value. Also in common with the GL are the improved cone angles, which decrease the size of the pump, and Nash‘s patented Gas Scavenging technology, which dramaticallyimproves pump performance at high vacuum levels.
