can be attributed to the young people of ages 12 to 24
Positives Cinema can build up a teen’s
imagination because it takes them to another place where they have never been before
Positives Movies can open the eyes to what’s
out there for them and show what problems are happening in our world
Negatives Movies can take up a lot of time and
they cost a lot of money for a teen
Negatives The promotion of the use of drugs Teens are twice as likely to try
smoking when they see more scenes of smoking in movies as teens that see fewer instances of these scenes
Negatives Violent behaviors Movies can sometimes show the
wrong way to deal with problems
Conclusion: There are many other factors that
weigh far heavier on the wrong decision such as family life, friends that are chosen, and the environment the teen was raised in
Movies can have a greater positive effect on the teenage population with the inspiration they can give to all
