FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
From time to time, incidents may occur at school that are of concern to the
families of the students involved. We deal with those incidents directly with
these families, enacting strategies to greatly minimize the re-occurrence of
incidents, and ensuring that appropriate support is provided to all of the stu-
dents and families involved.
Social media can provide an enjoyable and informative way to engage and
keep you connected with what is going on in your school community. How-
ever, I appeal to all of you to consider how comments on social media can
have a greater impact than expected, and can have very real consequenc-
es for those families and children being discussed online.
Feedback from the school community is important to us. Please remember
that for reasons of confidentiality, we may not be able to discuss the specif-
ics of a particular matter. If you have a concern, I ask that you please speak
directly to your child’s teacher, the Deputy Principal or myself.
I can assure you that all the staff at Mount Claremont Primary School are committed to doing everything that is feasible to provide a safe and optimal learning environment for your children.
Who will win this year, Nyanda, Boogalla or Wambiri? We are expecting good weather for the Faction Athletics Carnival on Monday 6 September. Parent helpers are need to set up the event on Mount Claremont Oval from 7:30am. This is a school event and NO DOGS are allowed. Keep your dogs at home.
Congratulations to Isobel in Year 3 for being selected for a solo perfor-mance at the Massed Choir Festival at the Perth Concert Hall. Best wishes to the choir and music teacher Mr Gardiner for the performance.
The Book Week activities and costumes were spectacular!
I will be on leave from Monday 6 September until the commencement of Term 4. It’s time for me enjoy time with my family and holiday in WA. Mrs Johnson will be Acting Principal in my absence.
Happy Father’s Day on Sunday!

Everyone loves this annual event. An afternoon of activities followed by a campfire, sleeping on the oval and a lovely breaky. Enjoy and have fun.
P&C ROYAL SHOW PARKING
Parents this is your time to help raise funds for the school. It is a huge undertaking by the P&C parent volun-teers. We need your help. Its not hard to direct cars and “tap and go” for money. You can do it, help and vol-unteer please. The P&C Reps will keep asking until all show parking spots are filled. Contact your P&C Class Representative to book your spot on the show parking roster.

cluding: Strawberry DNA, Lemon & Potato Batteries, Process of Food, Army Food, Heat in
Chilli’s, Hydroponic Plant System, Gum Lollies, Preserved Food, Stupendous Seaweed etc. It
was evident that the students knew the science behind the project and they had been thoroughly
