Description:Lowell RPC-4 UL Listed remote power control on 19”W rackmountpanel can be combined with a variety of switches, modules, and/orsequential control devices (manufactured by Lowell or others) toprovide a versatile low-voltage method of turning specific equip-ment on and off from a remote location. The ability to safely con-trol AC power distribution without directly accessing equipmentminimizes the potential for accidental or unauthorized system mod-ifications, adjustments, or vandalism. System integration applica-tions include commercial, educational, entertainment, government,and religious facilities where remote power control is desired. As-semblies are UL Listed under Standard 813.

Models RPC-4-MC and RPC-4-CD are 15-amp remote power con-trols with four duplex outlets, power supply, relay, circuit breaker,and a six-foot metal conduit whip or six-foot cord with groundedplug (Nema 5-15) respectively. Controls are mounted on a 19”Wsteel rackmount panel with the outlets and terminal strip to the in-side and the blank security panel visible to the front of the rack toprevent unauthorized access. The RPC-4 series assemblies are 2rack units and mount directly to front or rear rack rails for conven-ient plug-in access. Assemblies are 19”W x 3.5”H x 2.75”D. Blackpowder epoxy finish.

Panels are designed to mount in close proximity to equipment thatis to be remotely switched. Low-voltage, 3-conductor cable is thenrun from the RPC terminal strip to a control switch such as Lowellwall switch model RPSW-P (fig. 1) or rackmount panel switchmodel PPSB-R. Systems may also be configured with multipleRPC controls activated by a single switch (fig. 1) or with one ormore RPC controls activated by multiple switches (fig. 2). RPCcontrols are also a key component in Lowell’s modular sequentialcontrol systems for installations where equipment must be acti-vated in a time/delay sequence (see specifications on Lowell SCSseries low-voltage sequencers).
