Deep in a forest lies Pug’s Hole – home to a group of peculiar and opinionated creatures, who like nothing better than to eat, sleep and ponder over the world around them. And what could provide something better to think about than the arrival of a mysterious, large, pink egg? Who or what will hatch out of it and what adventures will result?

Computer software makes selecting photos from a shoot fast and easy. During a shoot, I often allow clients or art directors to use a tablet computer, camera preview screen or a digital image viewer to mark images they strongly prefer. Then, when I’m sorting through the thousands of photos from a day-long shoot, I can quickly see their favourites.

My skillsYou might think that the most important skills a fashion photographer can have involve a camera, but you’d be wrong! The skills I have worked
hardest to develop are my communication skills. Working as part of a team can be challenging. It is often the photographer’s job to keep everything running smoothly.
Disagreements about the look or feel of a shoot can quickly make things tense. I try hard to make sure that everyone working on a photo shoot gets along. The fashion industry is small. I have worked with the same individuals many different times. It is important to make sure that we have a good relationship because it makes future jobs run more smoothly!
I tell models how to pose and what emotions to show.
Tools of the trade:
computer software
Many people working on a photo shoot are paid by the hour. This means everyone has to work quickly and efficiently to stay on budget!
Did you know? Many models also work as make-up artists! Some photo shoots and fashion shows involve 30 models or more. Adding an additional 30 make-up artists to the mix would be too complicated and chaotic. Instead, many photographers prefer to work with models who can do their own make-up.
