ESL CLASSES HAVE
BEGUN!
Know anyone interested in
learning English or polishing
up their skills?
Pastor Dimas is leading a
class here at Memorial which
meets in the Loomis Center Tuesdays from 7:00 pm 8:00 pm. It is anticipated this will run three-four months.
KCM could continually use your excess plastic grocery
bags. Put them in the box by
the elevator in the Welcome
Center. Thanks Deb Plautz
YOUNG(ER) COUPLES
GROUP MEETS
THURSDAYS @ 6:30PM
Are you a Young(er)
Couple? Looking for a way
to plug-in, grow in your walk
with Christ, and form
friendships with other
couples? We are excited to
announce a new group has formed that's designed
specifically for Young(er) Couples! Kids or no kids, 10
years of marriage or only 10 months, this group is for
you. Young(er) Couples with kids will have childcare
provided for only $2.50 per night (TOTAL) regardless of
the number of children you have. We begin with some
fellowship activities so couples can get to know each other
and then we dig into God's Word together and learn more
about living as a family of disciples in the Kingdom of
God. Make plans now to be here on Thursday nights as
we gather Young(er) Couples together to strengthen and
support Christian friendships & families! Questions?

THANK YOU!!!
Thanks to your generous contributions, Rich Husfeld,
Martin Haskett, and Deb Plautz delivered 360 health care
kits, 6 blankets, 31 pounds
of bar soap, and 77 quilts
made by our quilting
group to Epiphany
Lutheran on April
6. These items were then
trucked to Lutheran World Relief's warehouse in New
Windsor, Maryland, and will be used to fill orders for
Third World countries. The recipients will be so very
grateful for these basic needs that we take for granted!!

OPPORTUNITY FOR THRIVENT MEMBERS
If you are a member of Thrivent (a non-profit Christian
financial company), Nathan would like to talk more with
you about a new program that you can take part in which
provides upwards of $500/year per member for
community service and mission projects in your
community. If you have a heart for a cause in your
community, this might be a jump start. If youre a member, but dont have a specific project or cause in mind, then come talk to Nathan. He would like to create a
list of Thrivent members so that we coordinate community
service and mission startups as they arise. You can read
more at their website by visiting:

Weve all seen the headlines about the devastating effects of the initial 7.8 magnitude earthquake and subsequent
quakes that have killed over 8,000 people and destroyed
some 90% of all buildings, including homes, schools and
hospitals. You may not get to go to help but through the
LCMS disaster response team, you can add to their
$235,000 response by going to lcms.org/give/earthquake.
