Microsoft Exchange server 2013 Installation Steps
1. Install windows server 2012 R2 Standard 64 bit Edition.2. Change the computer name to “Exchange”.3. Configure a static IP address and Ping to the domain server for testing the connections.4. And join the Computer to the existing Domain Example “Webhost.co.nz”.5. Make sure the internet connection is working in the computer.
Change the computer name to “Exchange” and joined this computer to the Domain.
Selected the primary Zone
Select the type of Active Directory Zone Replication scope.
Given a Zone Name to new zone
Select the type of Dynamic update
Completing the New zone creation
Similarly create the reverse lookup zone.
Select the existing domain controller of reverse lookup zone
Select the IPv4 for reverse lookup
Give the network ID
Select the second option for Dynamic update
Completed the reverse look up zone creation
Login as Domain administrator in Local Exchange server
Download the Exchange server 2013 from the Microsoft website and begin to install.
Copying the file for installation.
Click on the Next option to begin installation
Tick the “I accept the licence agreement”. Then click Next
Select “Use recommended settings” then click next option
Select the server role by selecting both role
Specify the Exchange organisation Name.
Disabled the Malware scanning.
Checking for prerequisites.
Will not proceed due to Error in installation and some prerequisites software need to install.
Down load the prerequisites software from Microsoft website.
Filter pack 64 and 32 bit . Unified communication Manager. Filter pack 2010 service pack
(KB2460041).
After finishing all prerequisites rerun the readiness checks.
Now the setup is running after prerequisites checks.
Exchange is successfully installed on the computer
After the exchange server set up is completed login with domain administrator User Id and password.
Choose the language and time zone.
After login in to exchange add user from domain controller
Adding user sebin from the Active Directory Users and computers.
User sebin is added to exchange data base
Adding user Rohan from the Active Directory Users and computers.
User rohan is added to exchange data base.
Two users Sebin and Rohan is added to Exchange Database
Login into created “Sebin” account in exchange.
Sending a test mail to Rohan.
