Start talking. Find a conversation starter for your group. • What things do you find yourself saying you love? • Have you ever tried to outdo someone? In what? Start thinking. Ask questions to get your group thinking. • What are some concrete ways of showing love in this

passage? • Is it possible to have genuine love for someone you don’t like? • Have you ever seen hypocritical (disingenuous) love? Start sharing. Choose questions that create openness. • John challenged us this morning to be generous with words,

time, affection, etc. How might the Lord be calling you to bless others?

• In what ways did this message challenge you to be transformed?

Start digging. Read Scripture about loving one another.

Ephesians 4:2-3 1 Peter 3:8-9 1 Peter 4:8 1 John 3:18

Start praying. Be bold, and pray specifically. • God, thank you for your unconditional love for me. Help me to

love others in the same way. Give me eyes to see the hurting and a heart to care. In Jesus name, amen.

Start doing. Commit to a step, and live it out this week. • How will you apply these verses in your life this week?
