Biological Weed Control

• The objective of biological control is to reduce weed populations, not eradicate them.

• Some natural enemies which are often used are Klamath Weed Beetles, Puncture Vine Beetles, & domestic geese.

• Herbicides are often used because they are inexpensive and effective when handled properly.

• If handled improperly, however, they may kill your crop and contaminate ground water.
