Mechanical Contractors Association Elects New Board
SEATTLE – Mike Shinn of the firm Shinn Mechanical was elected President of the
Board of Directors of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington
(MCAWW) for the term 2012-2013. Other newly elected Board members include Vice
President Jerry Bush of University Mechanical Contractors, Inc.; Secretary/Treasurer
Mark Webster of MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions and Directors Stacy Johnson of
Auburn Mechanical and Jeff White of Holmberg Company. President Shinn accepted the
gavel from outgoing President Jack Cheetham of McKinstry Co., who will continue to
sit on the Board as Immediate Past President. According to the Association’s Executive
Director Ed Kommers, “the past two years have allowed continued growth and change
for the Association. I am truly grateful for the contributions made by Jack Cheetham
during his tenure as President and look forward to an exciting future with the new slate
of Officers and Directors.”
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington membership consists of
union-signatory plumbing, piping and HVAC contractors throughout western
Washington. MCA of Western Washington jointly sponsors journeyman and apprentice
training programs with the United Association of Pipe Trades Unions.
