RATIONALE FOR THE REVISED PNG DCP 2018-2022
1. The PNG DCP is required to be reviewed every 3rd Year.
2. The Revised DCP needs to be aligned to the new MTDP III.
3. There is a changing donor landscape (there are new Development Partners on board, new delivery modalities applied, private sector more involved in development, civil society organizations and philanthropic organizations playing a greater role in development).
4. PNG’s global commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals
5. Greater need to consolidate all efforts of Partners in Development to achieve MTDP III objectives and targets.
6. Greater coordination of development cooperation required(by Government and Development Partners)
