“A POSITIVE PATH FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING”
Monthly Newsletter
NOTES OF JOY
Hello Friends, Our focus for the month of May is DIVINE ORDER. Order is a spiritual power that is very fascinating to me because the very first law of the universe if order. In fact, there could be no universe unless its various components were not kept in perfect harmony. Planets turn on their axis and move around without bumping into each other; seasons change; water is drawn up and held by the clouds and released upon parched land; ba-bies are born and just when they mature from “milk only” nourishment, teeth pop into their mouths. What a marvelously ordered universe.
Just as order governs the universe, so should it manifest in the affairs of human-kind. If our thoughts and actions are not or-
derly, our affairs will show confusion. Have you ever gone to a play at a theater and noticed how orderly the stage is set? When the actor needs to refer to a photo on a table, the photo has been placed there. When the actor is ready to answer the phone, it rings on cue. Chairs are in the appropriate spot just at the moment the actors lines require him to sit. The lamp is on; water is in the glass, etc. This same level of order and system is also necessary in our daily lives.
As we activate Divine Order in our lives we will find that it dissolves resistance and creates unity and harmony. Our mind becomes clearer, our body stronger and our emotions calm. We are able to meet everything with ease and accomplish all things successfully. Divine Order establishes freedom from feelings of unhappiness over what other may say or do and provides the ability to release, bless and forgive everyone easily.
When we come to the realization that we are under God’s law of love…His law of good, we will find ourselves functioning on a new level. We will put God first in all of our affairs and align with the harmony, rhythm and order of the universe. Under God’s Divine Law every function and organ of our body is inspired with health, harmony, peace, joy and love. His plan for us is unlimited good to be manifested by us in Divine Order, at the right time, the right place and in our relationships.
Come and grow with us! Join us each Sunday morning in cele-bration this month as we seek to explore more fully the principle of Divine Order. We look forward to seeing you!

NEW BOOK STUDY Join us on Sunday mornings for meditation 9:30-9:40 a.m. and book study 9:40-
10:30 a.m. There is no outside preparation necessary for the book study. We read together in group, pondering and discussing as we go…taking as long as we desire. We recently began study-ing THE UNTETHERED SOUL – The Journey Beyond Your-self, by Michael A. Singer, which is highly recommended by a fascinating variety of individuals from many walks of life: “Whether this is your first exploration of inner space or you’ve de-voted your life to the inward journey, this book will transform your relationship with yourself and the world around you. You’ll discov-
er what you can do to put an end to the habitual thoughts and emotions that limit your consciousness.” “The Untethered Soul begins by walking you through your relationship with your thoughts and emotions, helping you uncover the source and fluctuations of your inner energy. It then delves into what you can do to free yourself from the habitual thoughts, emotions, and energy patterns that limit your consciousness. Finally, with perfect clarity, this book opens the door to a life lived in the freedom of your innermost being.” CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION Why are we celebrating Cinco De Mayo Day? Why not? We are an inclusive ministry…not an exclusive one…and Cinco de Mayo Day is the only celebration we have in this country for Mexicans. So, we choose to celebrate. The word Cinco de Mayo simply means the 5
th day of May…and this celebration commemorates the victory of the Mexi-
cans over the French army at the battle of Puebla in 1862. Our celebration is simply an opportunity to lift up the Mexican culture, food and customs and at the same time acknowledge our oneness with everyone. So, come to our celebra-tion service on Sunday, May 7, 2017 wearing your Mexican attire and bringing delicious Mexican food for our monthly CommUnity Feast.
MAD-HATTERS TEA FOR MOTHER’S DAY Ready for an hour of fun, fellowship and delicious snacks? Do join us on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, 2017 immedi-ately following our celebration service for our MAD-HATTERS TEA. The Hospitality Ministry team will be giving away lots of prizes, especially to the person with the funni-
est or weirdest hat…and so many more. Don you favorite hat, let your inner child out and join in the fun! SACRED OBJECT As part of the celebration service on Sunday, May 21, 2017, the Pastoral Care and Prayer Ministry team will lead a SACRED OBJECT service. Your presence is greatly appreciated for this special blessing.

OUR COMMUNITY LABYRINTH Open to the public from sunup to sundown, the Unity Community laby-
rinth is the largest labyrinth in the Southeast Texas region. It is a seven circuit triune pattern. The labyrinth is an archetypal symbol of wholeness that invites one into a transformative prayer experience. Walking this mystical path is a personal pilgrimage to spiritual whole-ness. The labyrinth has been used for centuries. It is a tool for bridging the known and unknown so that individuals may experience transfor-mational growth, expansion and self-
discovery. It is our purpose to bring awareness to this sacred space.
