Ambulance Referral
We have an ambulance that operates 24hours and al-
ways ready for any referral with keen attention to deliv-
ery cases. We have competent drivers who are well
conversant with all the routes in Siaya county.

Extending health services to the people
MATIBABU FOUNDATION-KENYA is a homegrown initiative working in Kenya that provides health ser-vices that help rural hard to reach and vulnerable communities take charge of their health. Matibabu’s goal is to create a healthy, productive and prosperous society.
Matibabu foundation hospital records an average of 15,000 hospital visits per year. Health programs in-clude:

Ultrasound
We conduct obstetrics ultra sound to determine the position
of the placenta, number of babies, condition of the baby, size
of the baby and state of the amniotic This goes a long
way to reduce maternal and Child mortality during delivery.
In Patient Services
The Matibabu Foundation Women and Children hospital
has a 20-bed capacity ward housed in the Mindel Olenick
Wing. The services currently record an average of 5 0 pa-
tients per month who come from as far as 10-13 KMs from
the hospital. There are plans to expand the hosp ital to a
200-bed capacity inpatient department.
ANC/CWC (MCH)
Matibabu Foundation Hospital provides antenatal care ser-
vices to expectant mothers, and prepares them for maternity
through targeted counselling during the ANC visits. The or-
ganization also monitors children’s growth through the child
welfare clinic (CWC).
Family Planning
Matibabu foundation offers a wide range of family plan-
ning services both Hormonal and non hormonal. We
have oral Contraceptives, injectibles (depo), Implants
and IUCD. Before any of this methods are adminis-
tered on a patient/client, the client is taken through
counseling.
Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer Screening
MFK conducts free cervical cancer screening every Friday
for women between 18 years to 65 years. The services
have been integrated into the family planning program,
HIV/AIDS program, and MCH. The hospital has staff
and breast examination.
Specialized Laboratory Services
This includes but not limited to liver function tes ts , kidney
f u n c t i o n t e s t s ,
H.pylori,
Culture and Sensitivity,

services like Malaria
and all HIV related lab
test. The lab , CD4. In
addition to the special-
ized lab services we
conduct the routine lab can also produce quantit ative test
results for an array of tests for non communicable diseases
(NCDs) through the i-CHROMA.
Pharmacy Services
MFK pharmacy strives to offer patient satisfaction by avail-
ing all medication for all conditions including special condi-
tions like Diabetes and Hypertension,. Patient education on
drug rational use, drug ad-
herence and compliance.

Integrated HIV/Out-Patient Department
The OPD services are currently integrated with HIV
and increase retention. The hospital records an average
of 15,000 visits per year.

rollment of women into the NHIF program and the “Safe
Motherhood Club”.
