Maiden Lake – Thu, Aug 9 Temp 85º, 75 minutes on water. We paddled along the shore in a clock-wise
direction. Paddled 3.4 miles (per Barb’s GPS unit). Flip Hartman took off & landed in his float
plane. We saw two loons. We saw two ducks and many ducklings. We went to Mulligans for supper.

Before we paddled, we drove past the boat landing road to the area of Camp Lake Resort, known affectionately as the “Gingerbread Cabins.”
Camp Lake Resort has three colorful stone cottages, two log cottages and an A-Frame cottage. Each is
unique in artistic design, inside and out.
