horizon.

them explore and learn about the rich culture and heritage of

India.

Health is wealth- Accompany your children to the

neighbourhood park and encourage them for a morning walk

and simple yoga exercises.

Setting up a routine is a must to inculcate good habits. Let your

child plan his/her daily routine for a week.

ENGLISH

Compulsory for All

Read the novel prescribed for your class and write characterization of any

four characters.

1. Attempt any one activity out of the following:

(a) Spend a day with two people in different professions (parents can help

their child in choosing two contrasting professions). Note down their work

patterns (what they do, how many hours they spend a week, activities they

do, clothes they wear, how do they commute). Use A-4 size sheet.

(b) Write 50 words from the newspaper that should include nouns,

adjectives and verbs. Make one sentence for each word.

(c) Prepare your own dictionary by writing 50 words from the newspaper.

Write a sentence using each word.

(d) Make a word book/vocabulary Journal. Make a list of all difficult words

of the chapters/poems read. (Syllabus of 1st term). Write meaning and two

sentences using the word.

7. Take a heavy cricket balls, drop it on a thick wet bed of sand. Drop the ball

on the sand from different height i.e. 15cm, 25cm, 35 cm etc. the ball

creates a depression. Repeat this activity maximum 10 times.

9. “ALARMING MAGAZINE” (Roll no.-41-45)

Collect at least five materials like aluminum foil, plastic containers and polythene

you are using in your daily life. Collect the information, pictures and data charts

using internet, magazines and newspapers etc. about their composition, harmful

elements present in it and their adverse effects on the body. Give suggestions to

void it.
