WELCOME The United Kingdom Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (UKBFF) and William Tierney would like to welcome all IFBB National Federations, their athletes and delegates, to the IFBB JOE WEIDER’S OLYMPIA AMATEUR UNITED KINGDOM in LIVERPOOL.
PARTICIPATION This competition is open for the IFBB-affiliated National Federations from all over the world. The number of competitors participating in these championships is unlimited
ABOUT LIVERPOOL Of course Liverpool is known all over the world because of the Beatles, but we have a lot more to offer in Liverpool. View the magnificent waterfront, with the Liver Building and the ferry across the Mersey. The St. Georges Hall and the beautiful cathedrals, which are very close together. Liverpool also has 2 football clubs: Liverpool FC (red) and Everton FC (blue)

VENUE The Olympia Amateur Liverpool will be held in the Liverpool Echo Arena located at the world famous Albert Docks. The competition will be held in the Echo Two which can hold an audience of up to 4000 people. The Echo Arena was opened in 2008 to celebrate Liverpool being the “Capital of Culture”. The Liverpool Echo Arena is in walking distance of the Beatles Museum, the Tates Gallery and Liverpool One shopping centre. More than 10 hotels are within walking distance and there plenty more hotels, just a short taxi drive away. HOTEL INFORMATION There are more than 8000 hotel rooms in Liverpool. From Luxurious self catering Suites to rooms in pleasant guest-houses, whatever your choice, you will be able to find a room which suits your needs. Across the entrance of the Liverpool Echo there is the self catering Staybridge Suites apartment

REGISTRATION Registration will take place in the Jury’s Inn Hotel, 31 Keel Wharf, Liverpool, L3 4FN
on Friday 30th October from 10am till 8pm. The Jury’s Inn is opposite the venue Liverpool
Echo Arena overlooking the Albert Dock.
PLEASE NOTE!! Registration of athletes will only be considered if they are recommended or entered by the National Federation of the athlete and the entry form has been emailed directly to the Organiser and IFBB Head Office. The final decision to allow an athlete to compete in this event rests with the IFBB.

IFBB REGISTRATION FEE The IFBB Registration Fee is €200 per Athlete (£150) and can be paid beforehand online or to the IFBB Official when registering. This Registration Fee can easily be paid online on the IFBB website. When paying through PayPal, the amount should be in Euros. Please follow the link for paying online: www.ifbb.com/registration.
IFBB INTERNATIONAL BOOK (Blue Book) At every IFBB international event, participating athletes will need a valid IFBB International Book (Blue Book). All events you are competing in will be noted in this International book. The fee is 30 Euros per calendar year.
COMPETITORS INFORMATION Athletes will be given a goodie bag and wristband at registration on Friday 30th October. This wristband has to be worn during your whole stay and will allow you in and out of the venue during the weekend. There is a special athlete allocated seating area close to the stage and backstage.
The official delegate/coach of every National Federation team will be given a backstage pass.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a limited amount of extra coaches’ wristbands available from the UKBFF at the registration and they can be purchased for £50 or 70 Euros. This wristband will allow the coach to go in and out of the venue during the weekend and will give access backstage and the athlete allocated seating area. The wristband has to be worn during your whole stay.
POSING MUSIC All posing music must be on an audio CD only. Please, don’t use MP3 version. The posing music must also be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his name on the CD for easy identification. The use of profane, vulgar and offensive language is strictly prohibited in the posing music.
COMPETITION TANNING The IFBB has banned all tans and bronzers that can be wiped off. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage. If the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove it. In the UK we recommend Jan Tana and the UKBFF has an official qualified tanning company. We recommend to bring along your own bed-linen and towels to save on laundry costs.
JUDGES National Federations are reminded that their nominations for judges must be also included in the Entry Forms according to the IFBB Rules. For more information, please contact Mr. Pawel Filleborn at [email protected]
A judges meeting will be scheduled on Friday evening in the Jury’s Inn Hotel. More information will be given closer to the date.
MEDIA ACCREDITATION
All media accreditation, accept local media, shall be controlled by the IFBB. All persons wishing to obtain media accreditation for this event must register with the IFBB by e-mail at [email protected] no later than October 19th, 2015.

AIRPORTS The closest airport is John Lennon Liverpool Airport. It is about 15 kilometres from the Albert Dock. Manchester International Airport is about 60 kilometres.
There are regular train and bus services between both airports and Liverpool City Centre.
TRANSPORTATION
All participants are responsible for organising their own transportation between airport and hotel. If a National Federations wish to book transportation between airport and Liverpool, the Organising Committee will be able to help with booking. Price for transportation depends on which airport you arrive and depart from and how many people are in your team. Please inform the Organising Committee well before the event, if your team need transport.
PLEASE NOTE: The Amateur Olympia Liverpool is during Halloween weekend and if you need transportation, it it is advisable to book this well in advance.
VISAS A valid passport is required to enter the United Kingdom. EU-country citizens (also Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) do not need to obtain a visa. All other countries should consult the British Embassy in their country to determine if they need a visa. An Official Letter of Invitation will be made available if required.
BACKSTAGE ACCESS
Access to the backstage and/or dressing room areas shall be strictly limited to essential personnel only. Coaches and trainers who assist athletes in the dressing room area must be of the same sex as the athlete they are assisting. The Organizing Committee will have mixed area backstage for athletes and approved coaches.
CAMERA / VIDEOTAPE EQUIPMENT Camera and/or videotape equipment shall be strictly prohibited in the backstage and/or dressing room areas except when used by IFBB-authorized media persons and, in any event, these devices shall be strictly prohibited in the dressing room area.

CURRENCY The national currency in the British Pound (GBP). 1 GPB = 1.37 EUR or 1.49 USD (as for April 2015) All major credit cards are widely accepted at most major hotels, department stores and restaurants.
