Happy New Year to our MMLA families!Thank you for your continuous support in building MMLA into an educational gem. It’s imperative that we keep a keen focus on school culture and educating the whole child.Parents, please stay aware of the winter weather conditions in Lansing, Michigan. It’s important that our students come to school with winter apparel (boots, hats, gloves, coats, snow pants, etc) to prepare for the times they will be outside for recess and traveling to our annex building for art, gym, and lunch. Our goal is to continue expanding our school into a place where every child that attends MMLA feels loved and welcomed. They know all staff believe they can learn. With this clear vision of hope, we ask that our parents and guardians of the children we serve support the programs and events MMLA has to offer.1. After-school tutoring for test prep.2. Getting students to school on time and in
the dress code.
A Message from the School PrincipalA Message from the School Principal3. Keeping parent and guardian
information updated with the office.4. Attending the monthly board meeting
when your child’s class is assigned. This is a way for parents to meet all stakeholders that work together to make MMLA a gem; Board Members, CS Partners staff, and CMU staff as they come together to review our children’s education.
5. Attending PTO meetings and volunteering at the school.
This is just a warm welcome to our families for the start of 2020...Please note that reports cards will be coming out this month. This is our first year working with Power School, so if you experience any type of concern please view that as a way for school and home to bridge the communication gap by coming to speak with staff.

CALDWELL’S
COMMUNITY
CONNECTIONOn this past
weekend the Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy
partnered up with DEP Hats, Men Making A Difference and Footprints of Michigan to distribute new and gently-used winter gear to students all over Lansing. With the help and support of the Lansing community we raised more than 300 hats, scarves and boots to give in Lansing`s first “Keep the Children Warm” campaign. We thank channel 6 news for covering the story and sharing it with the community at large. Special thanks to Andrew
