unique to New Orleans, a mix of blues,
R&B and rock’n roll delivered with a lot
of soul.
INTRODUCTION
Lil Red & Big Bad includes
singer Nancy Gros, lead
guitarist Jeff Ruello and
Willie Panker on drums.
Jack Carter and David Hyde
play Upright Bass, Jimmy
Carpenter and Derek Huston
are on Sax,
while Greg Villafranco and
Tom Worrell are on Piano.
Lil Red’s unique
and energetic way
of delivering her
sultry vocal sound
has developed
quite a following.

Inspired by the music of
Irma Thomas, Etta
James, Ruth Brown,
King Floyd, Dr. John
and other great R&B
musicians, singer Nancy
Gros formed “Lil’ Red
and Big Bad” in 2005.
On October 8th, 2010, Lil’
Red won the VBK (New
Orleans Blues Society)
Blues Challenge, sending
her to represent New
Orleans in the
International Blues
Challenge (“IBC”), in
February 2011.

The band performs
regularly on Frenchmen
Street, has toured
Colorado, and opened
the 2012 French Quarter
Festival on the main
stage.
