LENT 3Access to Grace
Lectionary AScriptures for LENT 2
Exodus 17:1-7Psalm 95
Romans 1-11John 4:5-42
"Is the Lord among us or not?"
The people quarreled with Moses, and said,
"Give us water to drink."
“Strike the rock, and water will come.”
Let us singto the Lord;let us makea joyful noiseto the rock of our salvation!
He is our God, and we are the peopleof his pasture.
O that todayyou would listen to his voice!
We are justified by faith. have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace.
Suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us.
But more than that, we even boast in God through
our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom
we have now received reconciliation.
Jesus, tired out by his journey, sat down by the well.
A Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her,
"Give me a drink."
"How is it that you, a Jew,
ask a drink of me?"
“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.”
They said to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the Savior of the world."
