MISSION
HISTORY Legacy Mission Village was founded in 2000. Legacy Mission Village has multiple ministries in the Unites States
and in countries across East Africa. It is is a 501(3) (c) that achieved it’s not profit status in 2012 Legacy Mission Village partners include: World Relief Nashville Intentional Center For Empowerment Tennessee Foreign Language Institute Nashville Public Library Also partner with different churches to connect refugees with local
churches after the move.
FOUNDERS William and Ebraile Mwizerwa. They survived the Rwandan Genocide
in 1994 Moved to Nairobi , Kenya along with
their family Experienced the trauma’s that
refugees experience They moved to the United States in
1998 and became very active at the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville
He took a Mission tour of 10 cities in Tennessee to Maine assessing the lives of the Refugees in America.
MISSION IN AMERICAWelcoming, befriending, and
encouraging refugee families as they first arrive in Nashville.
Helping families to learn about our city and culture, including grocery shopping, opening a bank account, using the bus system, and more.
Helping refugees to learn English in ESL classes.
Working with preschoolers in the Kindergarten Readiness Program.

MISSION IN AFRICA Restore lives through health, education and community development Legacy Mission Village HIV/AIDS is ravaging Rwanda Africa. Legacy
Mission Village partners with church and community to:• Support HIV+ women• Train HIV+mothers to generate extra income for nutrition and medical
supplies (and family needs)• Feed HIV+ children who are on antiretroviral medicationLegacy Mission Village helps fund health insurance for the families and
orphans most in need.Legacy Mission Village helps fund the education of impoverished and
special needs children in Rwanda and Uganda.Legacy Mission Village partners with local Churches In Rwanda. This collaboration ensures a responsive and responsible employment
of support and economic infusion in the live of those most in need
ANNUAL FUNDRAISING
Legacy Mission Village fundraising goes hand in hand with educating. Use news letters every season to update donors on the progress, goals and
objectives. ( Case of support). Use social media as a tool to communicate. Active Face Book and Instagram
accounts. Acknowledge and applaud their volunteers efforts by thanking them in newsletters. Have their volunteers share testimonies of their experiences. Send out pledge cards in the mail. Make it easy for potential volunteers to apply for positions by having the applications
online. Participation in upcoming events are encouraged. Letters are sent out about the
events and also social Media is used. Personal Solicitation. Spreading the word They sent out brochures as well.
