Regulation for the Certicate course in Communicative Sanskrit: (Vānīpraveśa) 1. The Course is compulsory for the Students of all the subjects excluding those belonging to the School of Sanskrit Studies.2. The course will be of 3 months duration and will commence from 1st Feb to 30th April of the 2nd Semester.3.3. The Total marks for the course will be 200. There will be two Theory papers of 80 marks each and Viva and Internal Assessment with 40 marks.4. A group discussion on the course will be held in the month of April.5. The nal examination on the course will be held in the month of May and the result will be declared before the End semester examination.6. The unsuccessful candidates will get the chance to clear the subject during Even Semester.7.7. The course fess is Rs. 600/- (may be changed from time to time). However students who will appear in the examination as an arrear subject will have to pay Rs. 200/- as examination fee at the time of lling up the ex-amination form.8. A separate Certicate will be awarded to the successful candidates.

9. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:M.A. Course:• B.A. with Major/Honours in the concerned subject (in the 10+2+3 pattern).• B.A. with General/Pass Course with at least 45% marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate.• Śāstrī (recognized by any University) for M.A. in Sanskrit. Five year Integrated M.A. Course in Sanskrit: H.S. or equivalent examination in Arts/Science/Commerce stream (10+2 pattern) or Prāg Upādhi/Prāg Śāstrī from any recognised University/Board.• Graduate in Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences.

PRE EXAMINATION TRAINING CENTRE The University has a Pre Examination Training Centre for NET/JRF and other competition examinations.

SOME IMPOSOME IMPORTANT CELEBRATIONS:The University observes Republic Day, Independence Day etc. in its campus. Students are well advised to participate in the events. The University also observes the National Sanskrit Day on Śrāvaī Pūrimā colourfully. The Varsity Festival is an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents in literary, sports and cultural activities.

ATTENDANCE RULE:AAttendance in class is compulsory. Students who do not attend at least 75% of the classes will forfeit the benet of scholarship and other facilities and will not be allowed to appear in any nal examination.

ASSESSMENT:Continuous assessment of the student is done by the concerned academic department through regular tests, seminars, projects, assignment etc.

SAFETY AND SECURITY FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN: There is a Cell constituted with officers, teachers and student representatives for ensuring the safety and security for girls and women in the university campus.

RAGGING FREE CAMPUS:The entire University campus is declared by the university authorities as a ragging free one. Anybody found indulging in ragging is liable to be punished as per law of the university and Govt. rules in this regard.

STUDENTS GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL: The University has constituted a grievance Redressal Cell comprising a group of faculty members headed by the Registrar of the university who interact with the students and address their different academic and non-academic problems. The University has taken measures for prevention of caste based discriminations against SC/ST students on grounds of their social origin. A Complaint Register has been placed in the office of the Registrar for this purpose.

LIBRARY: The university has a good collection of text and reference books and journals. The University is grateful to different individuals, institutions like ICPR (Indian Council of Philosophical Research) for their generous contribution of books to the University Library. The students can borrow books for a specified period after depositing the necessary fee.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS: Sanskrit is the medium of instruction in the Departments under School of Sanskrit Studies at UG and PG Courses. However, in other courses of studies, English is the medium of instruction. (Exception is the language departments like Assamese).

IDENTITY CARD: The identity card is essential for being recognized as a student of the university, and must be produced when demanded. The Identity Card is non-transferable and issued to each student at the time of admission and the beginning of every academic session. The card must be duly signed by the Registrar and properly stamped. Duplicate Identity Card is issued in case of loss or damage of the card with specific evidence, on payment of Rs.200/- for receiving the Scholarship and availing the students’ concession in any occasion, the student must have to submit the identity card.

CANTEEN: CANTEEN: Hygienic food and tea & snacks for teachers, students and employees are available at the University Canteen.

REGISTRATION: Students must have to get registered to the university by filling up a prescribed form by depositing the prescribed fee.

MIGRATION: The students enrolled to this University from other university must submit the Migration Certificate before registration to this university.
