Summer Programs for Youth & Families Canine Police Tales—K9 Officer Rocky and his Wisconsin Dells Police
Sergeant will visit us to talk about the life of being a police dog.
Learn all about the requirements of a K9 officer and the special
benefits of sniffing out crime. Wednesday, August 11 at 10 am
Guitar George Music & Sing Along—Don’t miss this delightful early
evening of music for all ages with Guitar George. Come and sing along to
many tunes that both children and adults will know and enjoy.

End of Summer Doughnut & Prize Drawing Finale— Final
reading logs will be collected for the end of summer prize drawing. Join Ms.
Jody for a doughnut, story and the Grand Prize Drawings for all summer

Virtual Programs Leading the Band with Corey Pompey—UW-Madison Marching
Band Director Dr. Corey Pompey gives an inside look at the beloved
organization, shares his experiences leading the famed UW-Marching
Band, and fills us in on his vision for the future of the historic program.

Weekly Events: Preschool Story Time—Children will enjoy
picture books and music every Tuesday at 10 am. Toddler Tales—Enjoy the perfect story time for rambunctious toddlers. Every Wednesday at 10 am.
Baby-Time—Help your baby develop language and motor skills. Come prepared to sit with your child in your lap every Thursday at 11 am.
School Age—Stop in the children’s room for a different Tails & Tales project each week. Tween & Teen—Check out our teen area for creative
activities, great new books and a space just for you.
Adult Programming
Knitting & Crocheting—Enjoy creating with yarn with our experts. Every Tuesday from 10 am to
noon at the Frank Fischer Senior Center. Euchre Tuesdays—Stop by the
library on Tuesday afternoons for card playing fun. We will even teach newcomers how to play Euchre.
Card playing begins at 1 pm.

August Book Discussion
We will wrap up our summer book discussion events in August discussing The Lager Queen of Minnesota
by J. Ryan Stradal. This novel of family, Midwestern values, hard work, fate and the secrets of making a world
class beer will make the perfect conversation for a summer evening. We will be discussing this book twice in
the month of August:
Wednesday, August 25 at 1:30 pm and Monday, August 30 at 5:30 pm.
Discussions will be held outdoors on the patio weather permitting. Everyone is welcome to attend!
