Dear Friends,
We find ourselves amidst a period of enormous change and development. After only seven yearsin eistence, we have grown beyond the capacity of our facility and are blessed to be movingforward to bigger and better things. As such, there is much ecitement in the air. Whenever wesneak a glance out the window at the construction site, or decide to walk with the stroller to showoff the trucks and machinery to our children, we are undoubtedly overwhelmed and inspired bythe progress.
But growth and evolution are not just physical occurrences, they are spiritual phenomena as well.
Our greatest Biblical heroes, from Avraham to Moshe were individuals who were willing to change, develop and grow. Vayigdal Hayeled and the boy matured (Eodus 2:10), is not a measure ofMoshes physical properties so much as a statement about his development as a spiritual being, one who cares for others, who leads with conviction and who is bold enough to re-invent himself.
And this process of religious growth is what we celebrate at KCT. Not only the bricks and mortar, but waking up each morning to learn another page of our Talmud. Not the epanding numbers inour membership, but the growing participation in our womens classes. Not the etra space whichwill be provided for our youth groups, but the etra concentration of our children in their tefila.
A special thank you goes to the talented Yael Joffe, to Jeremy Goltz the new VP of Education,to Kenny Ripstein for all of his help, our Neshei head Elizabette Rischall, and our youth directorTamar Eherenfeld.
May 5773 be a year of maturation, as a kehila, as a family and as servants to Hakadosh Baruch Hu.
Yours Truly,Rabbi Shaanan Gelman
