FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the clever you have revealed them to the little ones…Come to me all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart...”
Jesus’ prayer of praise, directed to the Father, is for our benefit. I want to be considered a ‘little one’ and grow in my knowledge and love of the Lord. He wishes to continue to reveal His goodness to me.
Surely most of us have learned to use new cell phones, iPads and computers. We learn to use new gadgets. May you take steps, especially during these summer months, to learn to be meek, humble of heart and live all the beatitudes - pure of heart, worker for justice, peacemaker and poor in spirit.

Dear Parishioners, Alumni and Friends,
This Saturday as you celebrate the 4th of July, may all of you have a wonderful day to
enjoy your love ones with a picnic, barbecue, phone calls and maybe watching the 4th of
July specials on TV. Take time to count the many blessings God has given you and
bestowed on our country. It would also be a perfect time to start praying that God would
be more included in the daily life and decisions of all people, especially leaders of
government, business and the media.
God bless all of you and our country!
